Why am I receiving "This PC is running a version of Windows that doesn't support Windows Mixed Reality" error message?

Windows Mixed Reality is deprecated and has been removed with Windows 11, version 24H2.

As of September 30th, 2024 Microsoft has removed support for Windows Mixed Reality headsets. This means that if you upgraded to Windows 11 24H2, your headset will no longer function, even on the Steam platform. This change affects all WMR headsets, including models from Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Samsung.

If your system has automatically updated, please contact your IT Department in order to roll back a Windows update. You can continue to use your headset with Windows 11 version 23H2 until November 2026.
