      Using the Meta Quest Link Desktop App for PeriopSim VR on PC

      The Meta Quest Link Desktop App lets you stream, wirelessly or through a cable, SteamVR-compatible content from your PC directly to your Meta Quest Series VR headset

      Before starting, please ensure you have all the necessary equipment and hardware. If establishing a wired connection, you will need either the Meta Quest Link Cable or a similar high-quality USB-C 3.2 cable. You can also connect your headset to your PC wirelessly using Meta Quest Air Link. Compatible headsets and system requirements are listed below:

      Compatible headsets include Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3s, and Meta Quest 3. Make sure your Wi-Fi network signal is strong and has low latency PC VR streaming.       To connect your Meta Quest headset using Meta Quest Air Link over Wi-Fi:
      1. Install the Meta Quest Link Desktop App on a compatible PC. Use the following link to download the Meta Quest Link App -

      2. Make sure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network for wireless connection
      3. Press the Meta button on your right controller to open the Universal Menu, then select the clock on the left side of the Universal Menu to open Quick Settings
      4. Select Link, then select the toggle next to "Use Air Link"
      5. Select your PC in the list of available PCs, then select Pair. A pairing code will show in your headset. Confirm that the code you see on your computer matches the one you see in your headset. Please note: this step only applies to the first time you log into a new user account
      6. Click Confirm from the computer app, then put your headset back on.
        Select Launch to begin using Air Link
      7. Before continuing, make sure you've completed room setup from your headset in the space you plan to use it. Room setup is done from the headset and not from SteamVR or the Meta Quest Link App

      To connect your Meta Quest headset using Meta Quest Link Cable or a similar high-quality USB-C 3.2 cable:

      1. Plug your USB 3 cable into a USB 3.0 port on your PC, then plug the other end into your Meta Quest headset
      2. Press the Meta button on your right controller to open the Universal Menu
      3. Select the clock on the left side of the Universal Menu to open Quick settings.
      4. Select Link, then select the computer your headset is plugged into
      5. Select Launch
