This article has instructions on where to download from and how to install the application. PeriopSim for Apple macOS can be downloaded from the [Apple App Store](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/periopsim/id960363034#?platform=mac)  PeriopSim supports macOS 10.12+ (Sierra).   [![Download\_on\_the\_Mac\_App\_Store\_Badge\_US-UK\_RGB\_blk\_092917](https://support.periopsim.com/hubfs/Download_on_the_Mac_App_Store_Badge_US-UK_RGB_blk_092917.svg)](https://itunes.apple.com/app/id960363034)     UPGRADING from version 1.0.x If you are upgrading from an earlier version which was not downloaded from the Apple App Store it is recommended that you logout and uninstall the older version. If you do not you may see two applications and shortcuts and the older version will not be automatically deleted or upgraded by the new Apple App Store version. During the upgrade your data is secure on the PeriopSim Learning system servers and your login details will not change.   Installation: The process for installing is similar to other types of applications you might install. 1. Using the link or search on Apple App Store for "PeriopSim" 2. Click Get App, then click Install App. 3. You can now click the Open button to launch the app. 4. You may wish to install a dock icon for quicker launching. Navigate using Finder to the PeriopSim icon in the Applications folder. Click the icon and drag it out of the Finder window and onto the Dock. An icon for this item now appears on the Dock. Getting an account: - If you have already used another PeriopSim application e.g. iPad the same account login gives you access. - If you need a new account and have not been assigned one by your educator then request access via your educator and that way your access and account will be linked to your facility subscription. - If you are just trying PeriopSim and wish to register for a Free account and use the Preview content you can do so via the Register button. Educators - as with the other PeriopSim applications it is best that you invite your Learners via their business emails as this prevent unnecessary confusion over whether or not an Learner account exists and does it have access to the subscription.  First Run: Now that the application is downloaded and installed you can move onto to first use. 1. Open your Applications folder and scroll to the PeriopSim icon. 2. To access the PeriopSim content use the Login button along with your email and password. 3. Select Single Player mode unless instructed otherwise. 4. Modules must be downloaded before being used for the first time. Afterwards they are cached for future use including while offline. 5. Modules to be downloaded have a Cloud symbol which changes to a Play symbol when downloaded and ready for use.
