Meta Quest supports screen casting functionality, allowing you to wirelessly share your VR experience or watch the VR experiences of others
Cast to Computer or Smart TV via Web Browser
Make sure your headset and the device you are casting to are on the same Wi-Fi network
- On your computer, open your web browser (Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge) and log into your Meta account.
- Go to oculus.com/casting
- Put on your headset and press the ‘Meta” button on the right controller to open up the Universal Menu
- Select the Camera icon on the Universal Menu to open the Camera menu
- Click the “Cast” icon
- Select the option for Computer from the list of available devices, then click "Next"
- When connected you will see a red dot in the upper right-hand corner of the headset screen. This red dot indicates your device is casting

Your Meta Quest headset will now be casting to the webpage you opened on your PC or Smart TV
Cast to Chromecast dongle or Chromecast-enabled TV
The Chromecast device you are casting to and your Meta Quest headset need to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network
- Put on your headset and press the ‘Meta” button on the right controller to open up the Universal Menu
- Select the Camera icon on the Universal Menu to open the Camera menu
- Click the “Cast” icon
- Select the the Chromecast device from the list of available devices, then click "Next"
- When connected you will see a red dot in the upper right-hand corner of the headset screen. This red dot indicates your device is casting
- Your Meta Quest headset will now be casting to the Chromecast device
How to Stop Casting
- From your headset, press the ‘Meta” button on the right controller to open up the Universal Menu
- Select the Camera icon on the Universal Menu to open the Camera menu
- Click the “Cast” icon then click “Stop Casting”
